Each piece is formed in dense ivory-toned stoneware and meticulously hand-painted in deep cobalt underglaze a hallmark of Bat Trang’s centuries-old ceramic tradition that dates back to the 14th century.

The designs of lotus blooms, swirling foliage, and delicate dragonflies are painted in freehand brushwork, capturing the spontaneity and grace for which Bat Trang artisans are celebrated. The stylized borders echo 18th- and 19th-century Vietnamese porcelain influences while reflecting the evolving aesthetic of the late 20th-century studio era, when artisans began reinterpreting classical patterns for modern domestic use.
