Standing at 18” tall, this detailed study of an African Woman shows a woman in motion, confident and strong, carrying a container on her head, supported by her left hand, while in her right hand she carries a spoon to serve the water she transports. Behind her, supported by a shawl, she carries her child.
This sculpture stands on a 5” round base, which is signed on the underside, and reads “Atelier Dermé Morou BR 5075 Ouagadougou BF.”
