Calligraphy in upper right. Three red stamps / seals. Wood frame.

The artist's name is 姜筠 (Jiang Yun / Jun) 1847- 1919.

Jiang Yun, who used the courtesy name Yinsheng, sobriquet Daxiong shanmin, was born in Anhui provenance. He earned a juren degree in 1891. His painting style is considered in the lineage of the Orthodox school, closely following the early Qing master Wang Hui (1632-1717). The artist once taught Xiao Xun (1883-1944), who was one of the founding members of the Chinese Painting Research Association.
