Traditional Chinese folk art painting using gouache watercolor method. Painted on rice paper, gouache allows for the saturated and bold pigments seen here with a contrasting black background. So vibrant! Will brighten up any room. As these depict everyday life, this composition features a three peasant women feeding a pen full of twenty one pigs amongst flowering foliage. This comes double matted, custom framed, and ready to hang. Perfect for any Chinese or chinoiserie decor. There Is also a smaller coordinating painting listed in my shop. *Jinshan peasant painting is gouache painted on the thin Chinese rice paper, then mounted to 3 or 4 pieces of rice paper. It's a novel technique that adopts both traditional and western methods of painting.
Jinshan Peasant Painting is the Chinese folk art of southeastern Yangtze River area of Shanghai. The paintings are done by peasants, integrating the folk arts of printing and dyeing. They depict the peasant’s colorful customs and daily life. This folk art was born in 1972. More than 6000 pieces of these paintings have been exhibited in China and some 20 countries. Over 300 pieces are collected by national galleries. Jinshan was recognized as ‘the hometown of modern folk art”.

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations

- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
