Desert Sunset Landscape Oil Painting in Carved Wood Frame
A gorgeous vintage desert sunset landscape, rendered in warm, glowing tones that capture the stillness and beauty of the American Southwest. The painting features dramatic evening light fading across sand dunes and rugged terrain.
The back of the canvas is signed “Sawyer,” though attribution to Clifton Howard Sawyer (1896–1966) has not been confirmed. The style and palette are consistent with mid-century American landscape works.
Presented in an exceptional hand-carved wood frame with rich patina that complements the painting beautifully.
Medium: Oil on canvas
Signature: “Sawyer” on reverse
Frame: Ornate vintage carved wood
This piece adds warmth, sophistication, and a sense of timeless serenity to any space, a striking focal point for collectors of vintage desert or Western landscapes.
