Brutalist Vintage Faux Fireplace, custom made for the original owner in 1972 as a place for him to display taxidermy and hunting trophies. Signed and dated on back by artist. Made of plywood and hand carved beams with mortise and tenon joints at sides. Below faux fireplace opening there’s one drawer and a panel that comes off to reveal hidden storage compartment inside. An interesting one of a kind piece. Dimensions: 91.5”H x 49.5”W x 16.5”D.
Good structural condition with some cosmetic defects. Original owner had drilled holes and added screws to mount his hunting trophies and tusks. Some veneer chips to the plywood as shown. Comes apart into two pieces for easier transport.
