Margherita Chair Attributed to Franco Albini for Italian brand Bonacina. This is an iconic, mid-century armchair with a handwoven bentwood rattan frame. Designed by Franco Albini and awarded the Gold Medal at the IX Triennale di Milano. A rare collector’s piece of Italian design! Constructed of graceful looped strands of rattan that overlap each other to form the seat, atop a pedestal rattan base. Just stunning. Topped with a velvet cushion it’s all ready to make a statement for whichever living space you choose it for. This chair doesn’t retain the makers label.

There is one minor break in the top line of wicker, pictured and circled in red. Otherwise it’s sturdy and you can actually sit in it! Also it does not lean like some older rattan chairs do, it stands up straight. less
