A stunning opaque green glass mayonnaise serving bowl with an embossed gold rim. The original serving spoon is included. Mayonnaise bowls were popular in the first half of the 20th century and were an example of food-specific serving dishes made for the American housewife’s fashionable dinner table. This one is pretty and would look fabulous filled with small gold Christmas balls for a unique table decoration. The condition is excellent with the one exception of a knife-edge area of wear along the edge of the gold rim. No cracks or chips.
