Original late 40's Impressionist Landscape Water Color Painting by a Swedish school boy, signed.
Landscape of a Swedish castle/fortress by a Lake. A solitary figure in a rowboat enjoys the idyllic landscape under billowing clouds against the light blue sky. Spring green grass in the foreground conveys the optimism of early summer. Salmon colored castle is imposing in the background, surrounded by lush greenery. But, the little bright red row boat upon the serene blue lake steals the focus.
An interesting detail is the distant factory smokestack, emphasizing the nostalgic tone yearning for pre-industrial simplicity.
