Rare Lithograph, number 350 of 500, of the Design Center team at work, creating the Volkswagen New Beetle. In 1991, J.C.May & Freeman Thomas opened the Volkswagen and Audi Design Center in Simi Valley, CA. Concept One debuted in 1994 at the Detroit Auto Show. This print of an original watercolor by famed automotive artist John Francis Marsh has captured the excitement of the design process as the New Beetle emerges. It is professionally mounted and framed.

This print was from the estate of a gentleman who worked for VW for 40+ years, it was presented to VW dealers who attended the business conference in San Francisco on January 31, 1994. I do not have the certificate of authenticity however I have included a couple of fun items also obtained at that estate (luggage tag or keychain, recording of customer satisfaction survey -untested, and two plastic car decals. There is minor dirt on the white part of the piece, it is framed but there is no glass to shield it. I have not tried removing the wear but it is possible it is able to. When looking at the picture as a whole it is not very noticeable. One actual bit of wear in upper right hand corner see photo #10 See less
