The rectangular top … Read more This is a large beautiful antique george iii flame mahogany partners pedestal desk, dating from circa 1790. The rectangular top features the original inset green and gilt tooled leather writing surface above nine drawers on each side. The drawers are oak lined and are all fitted with their original brass handles. The desk is raised on plinth bases with concealed castors. The botanical name for the mahogany that this item is made of is swietenia macrophylla and this type of mahogany is not subject to cites regulation and does not contain any restricted materials. Condition: in excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
