Each piece in this series is, indeed, a perfect gem. "Three Little Maids" is rendered on an 8" x 8" canvas and measures 11.6" x 11.6" including ornate baroque frame. The artist utilizes Impressionist/Post Impressionist technique in heavy application of paint, very saturated hues and visible brush strokes. However, unlike the impressionists, George employs very, very dark background to "POP' the blooms right off the canvas.
