vintage chalkware bust of a young girl. Chalkware refers to plaster figures that were popular, particularly from the early to mid-20th century. The bust depicts a girl with her head resting on her hands, which are placed on a pillow.
The sculpture is also known as "The Young Student" or "Girl at Study".
Some similar busts were produced by Fabbri Art Studio of San Francisco and Alexander Backer Co.
Could date back to the period of 1910-1925.
