Stirrup cups were used in England for hunting with dogs, for a drink before the hunt while the hunter is already in the stirrups. This one is particularly fine and engaging. It is either Staffordshire or possibly from the Derby Porcelain Factory, 19th century Victorian. It comes with its own stand for display. See less
