A bold piece, perhaps referring to the retailer of upscale brands, Bluefly... but only the artist knows for sure.
California artist David Fleming spent much of his early life designing cars and helicopters for Porsche, Ford, and Lockheed, before returning home to study painting. He eventually taught art for 35 years at San Jose State University.
His colorful acrylic and oil paintings have won countless awards and have been shown at prestigious galleries, including the Stone Gallery in Oakland, Thornton-Tomasetti in San Francisco, the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History, Blitzer Gallery, Radius Gallery, and the Triton Museum.
