Black paint on paint by in hand made frame by Oswald.
Kermit Oswald and Keith Haring met as very young children in their hometown of Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
They were best friends throughout Haring’s life. They collaborated on many works. Kermit would build the wood construction and cut out pieces for Haring’s paintings. Oswald went on to be the Director of The Kieth Haring Foundation.
Over the years, Oswald’s works have sold at auction at Christie’s and Sotheby’s and are growing popularity. This framed ink on paper is unique because Oswald hand made the frame as well. A a very special piece.
