Top features three shelves, instead of usual glass doors, with top shelf having a pierce carved gallery. Sides of the top are also pierce carved, with the open front it makes for a fantastic book shelf / bookcase display. The bottom is in a form of a slant front desk. The slanted lid is mechanical with the pair of slides (for support) flanking the top drawer. When opened it reveals a fitted interior with a pair of drawers on ends, and mail slots and shelves. Below the desk part are three drawers, all with their original quality brass / bronze pull handles. Legs and skirt are done in beautiful blind fretwork. The condition of the secretary is good, showing light age / use wear if any, was polished recently (please see photos). Size is great for a house or an apartment at 62.25" tall, 29" widest point, and it is 15.75" deep coming from the wall. This will shine in any setting, traditional or mid-century modern! See less
