Mid-Century, ca 1970 Wishon-Harrell Earthenware Pottery Table Lamp.
Hand thrown, hand carved, signed by the iconic 'Wishon-Harrell' duo at the the base of the lamp.
Sand colored body with variations in raw sienna and terracotta with a carved wheat design in burnt umber.
The stoneware is unglazed with the granular texture of sand.
Size: 13ʺ wide × 13ʺ deep × 23ʺ tall to top of the socket.
The bottom of the lamp is covered in a protective layer of cork.
Wishon-Harrell was a California art studio comprised of James Wishon and Jerry Harrell, known for their stoneware pottery. Wishon threw the ware and Jerry Harrell carved and glazed the decoration. Wishon had work included in the California Design 9 exhibit.

The stoneware is in beautiful condition. No cracks or chips in the ceramic. Any variations or imperfections in the surface may be inherent to the material. Very hard and durable. Very heavy. Age appropriate patina and wear on the vintage metal fittings and original cork bottom. The light comes on when tested - as with all vintage lighting, it is advisable to have a professional inspect prior to use/installation. No shade or light bulb included.
