Shoemaker … Read more These adorable dogs were hand made by listed artist Christopher (Cyrstofer) Shoemaker (American b. 1969) who is self taught. Shoemaker usually paints abstract works of art, but he loves working in wire too. These dogs are made from braided high voltage aluminum wire. The wire is somewhat thick and sturdy enough to form these sculptures.

And, one of the joys with having these two dogs is you can place one somewhere and the other somewhere else. Another words, they don’t have to be displayed together.

Shoemaker has has several one man art exhibitions at Colin Fisher Studios in Cathedral City, CA. among other galleries. These wire dogs would look great on the floor or on a table and either way make a lovely statement.

The larger dog is 9” high X 11” long X 6.5” deep. The smaller dog is 6” high X 8” long X 4.5” deep. When placed together the overall width is 19”.

Naturally these dog sculptures are not signed as there was no where for the artist to sign it. And frankly, it doesn’t matter to have these signed because they are great just having been created. See less
