This piece is a reproduction by Amilcare Santini, an acclaimed Italian artist celebrated for his classical sculptures. Made of oxolite, a proprietary composite material used in Tuscany to achieve the refined look and feel of natural stone, yet allowing for production via molds. Base is very heavy as well, most likely made of stone. The bust is not white but rather a creamy ivory or aged alabaster color. It has a rich, warm, yellow-toned patina. See less
