Keeping the Beat is a tribute to rhythm, friendship, and the spirit of live music. Inspired by my good friend's drum kit, this painting was originally commissioned in 2022 and created on canvas with bold, textured strokes using my favorite tool—the palette knife. I love working with the palette knife because it lets me build layers of rich color while embracing the high contrast between hues, bringing energy and depth to the piece. Drums are the heartbeat of any song, setting the rhythm and uniting the band. This Giclée print is a faithful reproduction of my original painting, preserving the textured details and vibrant contrasts that make the artwork come alive.
