Early original Craig Greene, after Picasso? Similar to postmodern postcubist Midcentury harlequin paintings but with its own unique bent presaging Greene’s newer, bolder paintings.
I may prefer this mellowed version. Lovely light autumnal colors, loose strokes in various directions, with organic spatterings, gentle sheen, and mostly smooth to the touch. The vintage French solid wood frame has great heft and gives gravitas to an almost ethereal painting. Oil on canvas board in painted wood. “Signed” en verso using the artist’s card and sticker.
