Silk Sumi e (handpainted) fukusa signed by a prominent artist, Abe Shunpo (1877-1956) The subtle shading of the cranes and the darker highlights of the feathering mesmerizes the eye.
This antique textile art is signed in the lower right hand corner of the fukusa.
Origin: Japan
Date: Meiji-Taisho period ( 1868-1926)
Condition: Very good
The original hand sewn hem can be seen adding to the authenticity of this wonderful artwork.
This fukusa has its original deep brown backing displaying the family mon in cream.
