A fine antique late 18th century George III mahogany & brass music duet stand, circa 1790.
The stand is made of the finest figured Cuban mahogny & has twin music slants with hinged rests below & brass stays to hold sheet music in place. Below, each side is a pair of brass candle sconces that concertina on hinged arms, allowing them to positioned where the player wishes.
The stand having a turned & ribbed telescopic column, allowing it to be raised or lowered, the stand is raised on a tripod base terminating to brass lions paw feet.
The stand is robust and stable and locks into position with ease whether it is high or low, condition is excellent, this wonderful antique duet music stand is ready to grace your space.
