The prominent serpentine bonnet-top crest carries flowing Rococo curves and foliate carving, echoing the Louis XV revival style. Each of the three mirrored doors is framed in elegant mouldings and opens to reveal generous hanging and shelf compartments. Below sit three full-width drawers with carved apron and cabriole legs terminating in carved scroll feet — a style hallmark of the period. The piece stands tall and makes a spectacular visual statement in a master bedroom, dressing salon, or formal entry. Mirrored doors amplify light while the full scale allows for voluminous storage: perfect for linens, wardrobes, or even as a showpiece. See less

Finish: The wood retains a deep, warm patina; there are minor surface scratches and light wear consistent with age and use — these do not detract but add character and authenticity. Mirrored doors: The bevelled mirrors appear intact; check for any minor desilvering or mild foxing around the edges (common in mirrors of this era). Panel joints and construction: The side panels, mouldings and doors appear solid; no major structural issues detected in photos (corners, base and bonnet-top appear square and stable). Carvings and mouldings: The carved bonnet and apron show crisp detail; there may be minor chips or age losses typical of 19th-c furniture (minimal and do not affect the overall integrity). Drawers: Operate smoothly; hardware (handles/escutcheons) look original or period-appropriate. Some oxidation on metal hardware is expected and pictured. Interior: Not exhaustively photographed, but appears clean and functional. Shelves or rods may need adjustment based on use. Shipping/installation note: Due to its monumental size and weight, professional freight shipping is required. The buyer should verify door clearances, ceiling height and floor strength. Restoration notes: The piece appears to retain much of its original finish; any light touch-ups would be minor and do not diminish value. Full refinishing is not necessary and can reduce patina. less
