Rare Eames “Molded Fiberglass Side Chair” variant from the 1970s, with original fiberglass seat shell and visible fiber structure - a true Mid-Century classic by Charles & Ray Eames. The color is a light beige/ivory.
The shell sits on the typical swivel aluminum base “contract base” with four casters and has an extremely purist overall appearance.
Beautiful patina and functional elegance make it a sought-after collector's item for design and office interiors.
The condition is very good, with only very minor signs of wear, no breaks, cracks, chips or major scratches. See photos. This model is height-adjustable ex works, but in this case the spindle is fixed and apparently blocked by corrosion.
