The table features … Read more Substantial early 20th century French farmhouse trestle dining table made in the decorative arts and crafts period. The table features a solid oak construction with a stripped, bleached finish showcasing the wood's natural grain end texture. The top measures 2.5 inches thick and over 8 feet long. The top is supported by a trestle base having massive post legs conjoined by a long stretcher, ending with 8 inch wide shoe feet. The thick legs are conjoined using exposed mortise and tenon joinery. The table has a strong architectural presence with a rustic traditional finish on the wood. The table is very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Ample leg room measuring nearly 27 inches from the floor to the table. The oak has a warm patina with an aged finish. Made on a large scale with a classic European profile and Euro skinny dimensions.
