Antique, hand-crafted wooden Bible or book stand featuring classic dovetailed uprights and all-doweled construction — no nails or screws used. A beautiful example of early joinery and rural craftsmanship.
The piece folds flat and displays a rich, naturally aged patina. One foot shows an old chip and a few newer nicks (see photos), and there’s a slight but stable wobble typical of hand-made furniture from this era.
Period: 19th Century (c. 1850–1880)
Materials: Solid hardwood (likely oak or walnut)
Construction: Dovetail and dowel joinery, no metal fasteners
