Paul C?zanne (1839?1906) was a French Post-Impressionist painter who helped transition from Impressionism to early 20th-century Cubism. Although initially criticized, he gained support from artists like Camille Pissarro and art dealer Ambroise Vollard. In 1895, Vollard organized C?zanne’s first solo exhibition in Paris, which greatly increased his recognition.
