We were on our first trip to New Orleans in the 90s and came across this lovely gallerie called Galerie Louisiane (it has since changed names) on Royal St. (the gallery street). We fell in love with this gorgeous oil painting by Fredrick Guess called "Ice". The pictures do not do justice to the rich variations of blues in this painting. We have treasured it for many years but are in a different phase of life and do not have room for this painting any longer. Hopefully you do and will love it as much as we have.
I spoke with Frederick today and he is still oil painting in Georgia now.
The gorgeous gold painted wooden frame is a wonderful contract to the cool blue tones of the painting. It is more stunning in person!
