Antonio Ferretti was born in Italy; in the 20th century, he developed a business in the office furniture industry and technical monuments, through companies in Milan.
He was involved in ceramics or the decorative arts in an older sense (ceramic factories), but these are historical homonyms (from the 18th century)—he is not the same contemporary Antonio Ferretti of furniture. He transformed the initial activity of the family business (kilns, building materials) into metalworking and furnishing furniture in Milan. This designer piece of furniture by Antonio Ferretti Milano, created in the 1970s, features a wood and black metal structure enhanced with gold details. It consists of a low cabinet with sliding doors topped with two elegant open shelves, giving it an airy and functional appearance. with its sober aesthetic and balanced lines, it is part of the Italian modernist spirit of the second half of the 20th century, with a Scandinavian influence perceptible in the lightness of its silhouette.
