This became a big favorite among lamps from ikea.

you can choose to have both light sources on, or for a little cozy lighting, just have the lamp base turned on.

the name is an acronym for “ingvar kamprad elmtaryd agunnaryd”—elmataryd being the name of the farm where kamprad grew up, and agunnaryd the name of his hometown.
