Crafted of genuine alligator (or crocodile) with brass hardware, linen interior, and original leather straps, this case evokes the golden age of travel. It’s an impressive size whether displayed as a collector’s piece or styled as a decorative trunk or side table.

This is the sort of case a well-heeled traveler or diplomat would have used for short voyages — often carried on trains or ocean liners. Its structure and hardware are almost identical to those by Louis Vuitton, Finnigans, and Mark Cross of the 1930s–1940s, but this one is all-alligator, which was a prestige choice even above top-grain leather.
