Light Rectangular Table reflects Matthew Hilton’s interest in the concept of ‘impossible lightness,’ where he tries to create the feeling of greater spaciousness in a room by reducing the visual weight of his furniture. Surprisingly slender, this sculptural table features a slim tabletop, with timber planks oriented lengthwise to proudly display the quality and natural beauty of the material, and a cantilevered leg with complex joinery.

Timber is sustainable solid wood from North America or Europe, offering long-term repairability of the surface. Natural colour and grain variations in every plank make each piece an individual. Traditional wood joinery bonded with wood glue ensures structural integrity. All finishes are non-toxic and applied by hand, sprayed or rubbed. See less
