This 14k gold charm features the Greek letters sigma and kappa stacked on top of each other and bead seat with seed pearls. Circa 1910, the charm has beautiful milgrain work and lovely attention to detail. It makes a sweet tribute to the Sigma Kappa sorority, which was founded in 1873 at Colby College, the first college in New England to admit women on an equal basis as male students. This simple charm is perfect for someone in the Sigma Kappa sisterhood—or anyone nostalgic for their college days.
The charm measures 1/2” x 1/4”, plus an additional 6 mm bail. It weighs .86 grams. It contains 18 natural seed pearls. Unmarked, but acid tests as 14k gold.
