Magnificent italian modernist centerpiece in sommerso glass, attributed to the renowned venetian furnace la murrina, dating back to the 1970s.
technique and material: made of murano glass using the complex sommerso technique. The base is a clear, wavy glass enclosing an amber/orange flow and inclusions of gold dust (aventurine), which sparkle when struck by light.
design: the shape is a square "bowl" or "boat" with wavy, raised edges (handkerchief or wavy style). The design is bold and geometric, typical of 1970s italian modernist art, which made extensive use of warm colors and precious inclusions.
manufacturer: highly crafted piece, with the "m" la murrina stamp.
condition: very good vintage condition. The glass is polished and the sommerso is perfectly preserved. An item with no breaks or serious defects, only minimal signs of use and age, as shown in the photographs.
