An early 19th-century French Provincial card table featuring an inset leather top with gold tooling and cabriole legs terminating in hoof-form feet. The scale is compact and functional — suitable for use as a card or mahjong table, or as a decorative side or occasional table.
The leather surface has been cleaned and conditioned. It shows a green undertone and visible signs of age, including prior repairs. Much of the original gold tooling remains well preserved. The frame is solid, with no movement in the legs, and sits evenly on the ground. A repair is present on one of the hoof feet, and minor surface wear is visible throughout the wood. See less
