A fine signed antique silver monteith (or verrière).
By Tiffany & Co.
In sterling silver.
The oval bowl with a notched rim to hold the bases of wine stems.
Monteiths are traditionally filled with cold water and used to to chill and rinse wine glasses prior to drinking/between courses.
Fully marked to the base.

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
There is an oval area of approximately 7" x 2" with dents and indentations to the interior wall. There are a few noticeable scratches to that same interior wall and light scratches throughout (particularly to the basin of the bowl) from normal use. Otherwise, there is a visible light (but long) scratch to one side, some light edge wear, other fine & light surface scratches throughout and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
