Created in Italy during the 19th century, each of this pair of fragments features a carved urn adorned with ovoid motifs, foliage and fluted accents. Showcasing a silver leaf finish, the urns have been recently made into table lamps that have been professionally wired for the USA. A brass shaft comes out of the top to support the single socket, while the ensemble is mounted on a rectangular lucite base whose translucent quality compliments the silver finish beautifully. The fragments are unfinished in the back, the lamps will therefore benefit from being placed against a wall. With their elegant lines and nice patina, this pair of Italian silver leaf carved urns from the 19th century made into table lamps will make for a wonderful addition to any home, placed on a pair of demilunes, a pair of bedside chests or a credenza.
