Created in England during the Roaring Twenties, this small chest features a rectangular top adorned, along with the rest of the façade with a perfectly harmonious arrangement of floral motifs. Three drawers below open thanks to bail handles attached to cartouche style backplates. The inside is simply fitted with quatrefoil-inspired paper. The chest is raised on four bamboo legs with mottled patterns, connected to the underside thanks to oblique stretchers. The sides echo the same décor while the back is unfinished. Boasting a lovely goldenrod patina with great aging, this English small bamboo chest with floral décor from the 1920s will bring an exotic touch of elegance to any home, perhaps placed in a bedroom or living room and will look particularly good in a beach house or country home.
