French soup tureen produced by Choisy Le Roi Hte Boulenger & Cie around the 1880s period. It is a tureen or a large bowl with a foot, without a lid, made of ironstone/terre de fer. The handles are detailed leaf and branch.
The mark on the underside was used from the 1870s onwards.
Clearly it could be used for many things, serving pasta, serving fruit salad, a fruit bowl or just as a decoration piece.
It is in good condition for its age but there are marks of previous use. There is crazing on the surface and some tea staining mainly on the inside around the inside rim towards the middle. Please see all the photos carefully.
