Maison Lecan presents this round folk art oak table, circa 1880.
A unique, powerful, and deeply expressive piece, a testament to 19th-century rural craftsmanship. Its large circular top, made from thick antique oak planks, features a spectacular irregular edge, weathered by time. Tool marks, natural crevices, and the brownish-black hue give it a raw, sensual, almost sculptural appearance.
The three-legged base connected by a triangular brace reinforces its primitive and stable appearance, while emphasizing its authentic brutalist spirit. Each element exudes the craftsman's hand and the nobility of the century-old wood.
Completely restored and protected with a satin varnish, this table retains all of its original patina.
It's perfect as a presentation table in a contemporary boutique or a wabi-sabi-style concept store—but it could just as easily become a dining table full of character in a unique interior.
Dimensions: Diameter 150 x H80 cm
