A fabulous … Read more Simply luxurious vintage drop-arm sofa, Knole style, with braided rope tasseled tiebacks securing the hinged arms in place. A fabulous addition to both a traditional or contemporary setting. Solid wood frame and amply cushioned upholstery covered by a poetic and cheery Peacock-themed fabric. The seat cushions were special ordered with a fine layer of down- just enough to feel extra comfy without compromising the firm seating. The back and side cushions are down. The ensemble makes a fabulously comfortable seating, lounging or napping experience. Seats 3. Made to order in England (1980s) and later shipped to the US by the owners. Maintained in excellent condition except for a few small damaged spots (see photos). Never any smoking or animals. An extra plus is that this sofa is mounted on wheel-like sliders, so easily moved around. One wheel needed to be put back on when it came loose during the recent move (didn’t actually notice at first because the sofa still slid around without it)
