American photographer Erica Anderson made 19 trips to Schweitzer's hospital and clinic in Lamberene, Gabon, where he treated tropical diseases. She shot thousands of photographs in color and black and white, and won the 1958 Oscar for her documentary The Life and Times of Albert Schweitzer. The framed photos were inscribed to a dear friend of Anderson, who also signed one of the photos. An amazing find! See less
