The burlap shade is a soft light brown, adding a new texture to balance this lamp. The base is a hunk of natural wood that was gnawed down by a beaver and then finished with a protective coating to preserve the design of this piece. The steel pipe coming out of it, leading up to the socket, which holds the chain from which the finial hangs, a piece of a genuine beaver tooth! The lamp is pulled together by one long, twisted finial at the top. This piece is perfect for a rustic cabin!
