The table features a … Read more Imposing country French provincial farmhouse dining table hand-crafted on a grand scale from massive oak timbers. The table features a 2.5 inch thick top with bread board ends. The top is supported by a large trestle with baluster shaped legs conjoined by a long stretcher having an exposed mortise and tenon joinery ending with wide shoe feet. The table is very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The oak has a desirable aged patina with age cracks and wear to commensurate age and use. The top is surprisingly flat without excess warpage given size and age. The sides of the table have a hand-hewn rustic live edge with a farmhouse aesthetic.
