Its rare … Read more Artist (American, 1916-1986) Betty Klavun created this sculpture of a abstract female head constructed of heavy corrugated cardboard. Its rare and unique. The head simply rests perfectly on a custom stand created by the artist. Klavun, an important and highly collected artist is widely known for creating construction and environmental sculptures.

She cut, layered, bent and glued recycled cardboard to achieve different textures and forms in creating this sculpture.

This artist back in the early 1960's moved toward creating three-dimensional work, using Cubist forms in constructing three-dimensional work.

Clearly this sculpture would look great placed on a chest of drawers in your living room or on a pedestal of its own. Plus, this abstract head looks amazing from all angles.

It is in very good condition. The measurements are 21.5” high X 13” deep X 12” wide. Created in the 1970's and it's unsigned but guaranteed to be hers. See less
