Exceptional monumental antique cast-iron architectural wall bracket featuring a dramatic roaring lion mask, elaborate scrollwork arm, and wide bowl mount. Three matching examples are available, each sold individually.

Reportedly originating from a grand theater or opera-house lighting installation, these impressive architectural elements display extraordinary scale, craftsmanship, and decorative presence.

Each lion's face projects in bold relief, framed by elaborate acanthus leaves, classical ornamentation, and intricate scrollwork. The heavy cast-iron construction includes a substantial solid decorative arm measuring approximately 1.5 inches thick. All three retain their aged cream-painted surfaces with authentic oxidation, weathering, and richly developed patina.

History & Provenance

The brackets were reportedly salvaged from an old opera house in San Francisco. Although no formal provenance accompanies them, their monumental proportions, casting quality, and theatrical ornamentation are consistent with grand architectural installations of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
