The canvas depicts the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge. This view is attributable to the hand of the famous painter Francesco Tironi – Venice, 1745 – Bologna 1799 (a talented landscape painter active in Italy during the second half of the Age of Enlightenment, specializing in architectural views designed to skillfully reproduce perspective illusions). In fact, a peculiarity at the base of the Rialto Bridge, the artist monogrammed the work. Corners of the Venetian lagoon animated by boats, gondolas, gondoliers, and wayfarers. Palaces, new factories, churches. In both works, the elegant architectural structures of the buildings and the rippling motion of the waves, a portion of sky crossed by white clouds, have been reproduced in great detail.

The work is accompanied by an expert report by Dr. Emilio Negro.
