Large Maria Theresa Chandelier, first half of the 20th century
In 1743, in honor of the Austrian Empress Maria Theresa (1717-1780), a chandelier was created that became the prototype for an entire genre: it is a pendant chandelier with a metal frame and a gilded body embellished with an ornamental glass stem in the center.
This chandelier features 15 lights and glass beads, all in perfect condition.
The glass beads have all been washed, and the chandelier is in excellent condition overall.
